South China Medicinal Herbs Farm
Green Skies has partnered with Shatin’s Insitute of Chinese Medicine to establish the South China Medicinal Herbs Garden in 2022. As part of the program, we’ve build an aquaponics system within the institute to research the production of high-value Chinese herbal varieties. This unique approach to farming aims to cultivate interest in sustainable farming and promote social inclusion through the cultural heritage of Chinese herbal medicines.

What to expect:
Introduction to Aquaponics
Tour Hong Kong’s first rooftop aquaponics farm and learn more about the farming techniques behind aquaponics and sustainable farming.

Chinese Medicine Garden Tour
Take a guided tour of the beautiful Chinese medicine Garden and learn about the history and cultural significance of Chinese herbal medicine.

Seedlings and Fish Feeding Demonstration
Witness aquaponics in action through a demonstration of seedling and fish fishing. Participate in the process yourself!

Chinese Medicine Museum Tour (Optional)
Explore the fascinating history of Chinese medicine and learn about the different types of Chinese herbal medicine through our museum tour.

We offer a diverse range of workshops from informative seminars on aquaponics and sustainable agriculture, to hands-on horticultural therapy and gardening experiences, come cultivate a greener future with us!
